General Conference Carmel Popcorn

Karen Davis

(I used to make this for conference and would tell my kids they could only eat it in front of the tv watching conference, it has been a long time tradition)

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup dark karo syrup
2 cups whipping cream (not whip cream, but 1 pint of whipping cream, found by the milk)

Stir all ingredients together then measure out 1/3 of mixture into a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to soft ball stage. Add another 1/3 of the mixture and repeat, cooking to soft ball stage. Add final 1/3 of mixture repeating the procedure until all of mixture is soft ball stage. Pour over a large tupperware full of cooked popcorn and enjoy.

If this is hard you are doing it wrong. Print Recipe
