1/2 c margarine
1/2 c sugar
4 egg yolks
4 T milk
1 c cake flour--I use regular flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
Put this mixture in 2 greased cake pans.

Beat 4 egg whites until stiff. Gradually add 1 c sugar, beating well.

Put on top of cake mixture. Sprinkle with nuts.

Bake at 325 for 20 min then at 350 for 5 min.

Cool in pans.

Put layers together with whipped cream or Cool Whip and strawberries.
Put cream and strawberries on top also.

Sometimes I bake this in a 9 X 13 pan. It is easier to cut but not
